Methods Totally 500 community residents in Wuhan were selected by random sampling and were investigated about their LDH-KAP status by anonymous survey. 460 questionnaires were effectively recycled. Residents′ LDH status and the related influencing factors were analyzed. Results The score of knowledge, attitude and practice in survey of 460 community residents were:the average score of knowledge questionnaire was (13.17±3.30), and the scoring rate was 43.9%;the average score of attitude questionnaire was (5.21±1.00), and the scoring rate was 52.1%;the average score of practice questionnaire was (15.24±1.96), and the scoring rate was 63.5%. Scores of KAP in residents with different age, education background and whether they take part in the training were significantly different (P<0.05). Normalization process showed that the knowledge level of residents was lower than the average level, and the malpractice level was higher than the average level. Conclusions There is a strong desire for LDH-KAP in community residents; the lack of LDH-KAP knowledge of the residents lead to that residents can′t make a good prevention and self-protection. It is especially important to enhance the training and intervene about LDH-KAP for residents.
