Abstract:
Objective To explore the status and influencing factors of the resilience in families with tumor children. Methods Totally 135 parents whose children had tumor and hospitalized in a tertiary hospital of Changchun from May 2015 to May 2016 were evaluated by general information questionnaire, family hardiness index ( FHI) , general self-efficacy scale ( GSES) , simplified coping style questionnaire ( SCSQ) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) in a cross-sectional study. Results For the parents of tumor children, the total score of psychological resilience was (59.48±5.89) and was above the medium level. According to the multivariate linear regression analysis, for the resilience of family with tumor children, it could be seen that the influencing factors mainly included the disease type (t=-2.565,P=0.012), each person income of family per mouth (t=3.156, P=0.002), parents′self-efficacy (t=-2.509,P=0.013), positive coping style (t=3.123,P=0.002) and depression (t=-5.658,P<0.001), which could be used to explain the 52.4% of the total variance of family resilience. Conclusions The level of resilience needs to be improved in families with tumor children. Health-care workers should actively help stricken families to seek social support, and adopt targeted measures to improve the self-efficacy, positive coping ability and negative emotion of the children′s parents, so as to enhance the resilience, and promote the effect of family-centered care.
