Abstract: Objective To investigate the application and clinical effect of improved saliva suction tube. Methods A total of 36 patients with conducting mandibular molar preparation and corresponding doctors and nurses for those molar preparation were investigated using a self-designed questionnaire. Results The score of experimental group ( 7. 50 ± 1. 23 ) was significantly higher than control group according to patients′questionnaire (P<0.01). The score of experimental group (8.00±1.08) was significantly higher than control group based on doctors′questionnaire (P<0.01). Moreover, the score of experimental group (13.55±0.82) was significantly higher than control group according to nurses′ observations (P<0.01).Conclusions The new type of saliva suction tube is easy to handle and is a better choice on behalf of doctors, nurses and patients.
