Abstract:
Objective To evaluate systematically the application effect of cluster nursing on pressure ulcer (PU) management of ICU patients.Methods Randomized control trials (RCTs) relevant to application of cluster nursing strategy in ICU PU management were collected by searching related Chinese and foreign literature published before March 2016, with the results analyzed by Stata 12. 0. Results 16 articles with 3 027 patients involved were in accordance with the criteria. It was shown in the Meta analysis that cluster nursing helped to reduce incidence of PU of ICU patients [OR=0.31,95%CI(0.25,0.38)] and to postpone occurrence of PU[WMD= 3.56, 95%CI(3.05,4.06)]. Results with all outcome indicators combined were confirmed reliable by sensitivity analysis. No existence of publication bias was shown in funnel plot. Conclusions Compared with routine nursing measures, cluster nursing showed superiority in reducing incidence rate and postponing occurrence time of PU of ICU patients, which makes it worth promoting in clinical practice.
