Current situation and influencing factors of time management disposition in pediatric nurses

Abstract: Objective To understand the current situation of time management disposition in pediatric nurses and to analyze its influencing factors so as to put forward targeted countermeasures.Methods A total of 571 nurses from 3 Class III Children′s Hospitals of Jiangsu Province were selected as research objects by convenient sampling. They were investigated with the general condition questionnaire and the time management disposition inventory.Results The total score of time management disposition was (59.20±8.17) points with 84.06% of the pediatric nurses in the middle level. There were statistically significant differences in time management disposition among different ages, positions, years of service ( F=2.838,-3.080, 2.978;P<0.05) . Stepwise regression analysis showed that the positions were the major factor to forecast the time management disposition of nurses in Class III Children′s Hospitals.Conclusions The time management disposition of nurses in Class III Children′s Hospitals is in the middle level and its major influencing factor is the positions.
