Abstract:
Objective To determine the impact of self-efficacy, social support and coping style on resilience in rectal cancer patients and analyze the path influences.Methods From July 2014 to August 2015,a total of 192 patients with rectal cancer in the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University were recruited by cross-sectional survey method. They were investigated using the Connor-Davidson resilience scale, the self-efficacy questionnaire, social support rating scale and medical coping modes questionnaire. SPSS 19. 0 and AMOS21 software were applied for statistical analysis. Results The resilience score for rectal cancer patients was(56.73±13.44); self efficacy, subjective support, confront and resignation coping style in rectal cancer patients entered the multiple regression equation;self-efficacy and subjective support not only directly but also indirectly impacted on resilience of rectal cancer patients; confront coping style and resignation coping style could influence resilience directly.Conclusions Rectal cancer patients have poor resilience, and the patients′self-efficacy, subjective support, confront and resignation coping style play an important role to enhance resilience of rectal cancer patients.
