Abstract:
Objective To investigate the application effect of fast track surgery ( FTS ) concept on perioperative nursing in elderly patients with colorectal cancer laparoscopic radical resection. Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with colorectal cancer were selected and averagely divided into experimental group and control group in random remainder grouping method. The conventional nursing was applied in the patients of control group, while the patients of experimental group were applied FTS concept. Postoperative flatus time, the cost of hospitalization, hospital stay and the incidence rate of complication in two groups were compared respectively. Results The incidences of postoperative abdominal distention and pulmonary infection in experimental group were less than that of control group (P<0.05), but without statistical difference in other complications between two groups ( P>0.05) . Flatus time, hospital length of stay and the cost of hospitalization in experimental group were significantly decreased than that in control group ( P<0. 05 ) . Conclusions The application effect of FTS concept for old patient with colorectal cancer laparoscopic radical resection is remarkably better than conventional nursing method.
