Effects of continuing nursing on the medical compliance behavior of patients with peritoneal dialysis complications

Abstract:
Objective To explore the continuing care in order to improve home peritoneal dialysis (PD)patients with compliance behavior,and reduce the occurrence of complications.Methods From January 2015 to June 2015,a total of 107 PD patients were divided into intervention group (n =57)and control group (n =50).The control group patients were given regular follow-up and guidance.In addition to the regular follow-up guidance,intervention group patients were given the continuation of care service included health education,the family assessment and training,and increases the frequency of follow-up and complication prevention propaganda and education.Then we used SAS 9.1.3 software to analyze the compliance behavior and the complications between two groups.Results Compliance behavior of intervention group such as PD norm operation was significantly higher than that of control group.The score of intervention group with knowledge and skill was increased significantly (P <0.05)comparing before.Survival curve analysis showed that complications estimated time was later than that of the control group.Conclusions Continuing care service can improve the PD patients effectively,reduce complications and prolong the survival time.The service model completes the hospital-community-effective docking work of family care.
