Abstract:
Objective To investigate the morbidity rate and influencing factors of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS)in community psychiatric patients.Methods Epworth Sleep Scales (ESS)was used among 160 community psychiatric patients and 151 qualified questionnaire were returned for analysis by multiple factor Logistic regression analysis.Results The ESS score more than 10 points was defined as EDS,so the morbidity rate was 25.8%.Using EDS as dependent variable,4 factors including the BMI,history of smoking,medication history of antipsychotic drug,history of night-time snoring,after multiple stepwise regression analysis,were included in regression model,and their risk degress were 1.103,1.703,2.103,1.481.Conclusions BMI, history of smoking,history of antipsychotic drug use and history of snoring at night are considered the independent risk factors for EDS in the community psychiatric patients.
