Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of 125 I to thyroid health status of nurses in the 125 I implanted wards .Methods Thyroid ultrasonography and thyroid function tests were carried out on the 125 I implanted ward and a general ward in our hospital , and the results were statistically analyzed .Results Abnormal results of thyroid ultrasonography were 24 cases in 125 I implanted ward and 29 cases in the general ward , while the thyroid function test abnormalities were 7 cases and 6 cases respectively (P>0.05).Conclusions In the case of the necessary protective measures , there is no significant effect of 125 I on the thyroid health status of nurses in the 125 I implanted wards .
