Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of nursing intervention in extensive burn patients with delirium. Methods A total of 30 extensive burn patients with delirium were divided into observation group ( 15 cases, interventions in control of psychology, behavior, risk factors and so on ) and control group (15cases, routine care ) according to admission date. Then, results were compared between two groups involving improvement rate in delirium, scores of acute physiology and chronic health evaluationⅡ( APACHEⅡ) and therapeutic intervention scoring system (TISS). Results The improvement rate was 73. 33% in observation group and 33. 33% in control group with a statistically significant difference (χ2 =15. 208, P<0. 01). Scores of APACHEⅡ and TISS in observation group were better than those in control group, and there were significant differences between two groups (P<0. 05). Conclusions The implementation of nursing intervention increases the improvement rate of extensive burn patients with delirium and improves patients prognosis, so it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
