Abstract:
Objective To study the needs of mothers whose children have congenital heart disease ( CHD) surgery. Methods Semi structured interviews were used to interview the 15 Mothers, and the data were analyzed by Colaizzi′s phenomenological method. Results Postoperative care needs of mothers whose children with congenital heart disease can be divided into 3 themes: information support needs; physiological, psychological, social support needs; continuity of medical care needs. Conclusions To understand the real needs of mothers whose children with congenital heart disease and have operation can promote the implementation of family centered nursing concept, improve the ability of maternal care, and promote the recovery of children.
