Abstract:
Objective To optimize the procedure of outpatient infusion, improve work efficiency and discuss the effects of personal digital assistant ( PDA) . Methods We started to use the wireless network PDA system in outpatient Infusion Room since 2013 at Huai′an First People′s Hospital. Before and after using, the waiting time for patients before transfusion, the nursing error and the patients′ satisfaction were compared. Results Since the operation of PDA system, the PDA has reduced the waiting time for patients before transfusion, decreased the nursing error to zero, and promoted the patients′ satisfaction, there were significant differences(P <0. 05). Conclusions PDA can optimize the nursing workflow, improve the nurse′s work efficiency and quality, promote the innovation of nursing mode and advance the management level.
