Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of"win-win" nursing model on self health management and self efficacy of discharged patients with metabolic syndrome ( MS) . Methods A total of 168 patients with MS from June 2012 to December 2013 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group ( n=84 ) and control group (n=84). Cases of the control group were given routine discharge nursing intervention while patients of the observation group were given "win-win" nursing intervention, which was to take patients′ self health management as the core and include the multi joint participations of hospital, family and community. The scores of MS self efficacy scale, self health management scale and the clinical index were compared between two groups 6 months after intervention. Results After 6 months, the scores of observation group was higher these of the control group in four sub-scales of self efficacy scale including diet, exercise, self-monitoring, medical efficiency (P<0. 01); the 4 sub-classes scores of MS self management in the observation group were higher than these of the control group in three dimensions including cognition, behavior, environment (P<0. 01);the abdominal circumference, BMI, SBP, DBP, TG, TC, LDL-C, FPG, 2 hPBG in the observation group were lower than these of the control group (P <0. 05); HDL-C of observation group was higher than that of the control group with statistical significance (P<0. 05). Conclusions The "win-win" nursing intervention can significantly improve the ability of self health management and self efficacy of discharged patients with MS, which contributes to disease condition.
