Abstract: Objective To probe into the current status of carer team working for elderly. Methods A total of 351 carers, who worked for elderly and were chose from 9 cities for training, and were investigated by questionnaire and interviewed. Results The carer was inadequate and had low quality, which mainly presented at aspects of over workload ( average 9 h work everyday) , low education background [ the middle school or below education occupying 37. 1% (130/351)], less work experience; low professional level [82. 6% (290/351) having no qualified work license] , low income, and negative work attitude. Conclusions The current status of carer team for elderly is not optimistic, which requires multiple measure to improve.
