Abstract:
Purpose:To evaluate the surgical management of ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) stricture.Method:48 cases of UPJ stricture were treated by dismembered pyeloplasty (Anderson-Hynes) procedure, nephrostomy or ureterostomy along with a double-J multihole stent placement were also established.Results:47 cases of patients obtained satisfactory outcomes after the operation,1 case did after reoperation.Only 1 case had complication in the near future. All patients have been followed up for 8 mouths to 6 years with satisfactory long-term results. Conclusion:Dismembered pyeloplasty (Anderson-Hynes) procedure is the treatment of choice for congenital stricture of UPJ,a double-J stent can serve as internal stent and drainage, nevertheless nephrostomy or ureterostomy is necessary for children.
