Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of Oak spray with alginate dressings treated cervical cancer third degree radiation dermatitis. Methods One hundred patients who met the inclusion criteria with cervical cancer were divided into observation group (n = 50) and control group (n = 50) by random number table. In the control group the radiation skin was washed the wound with saline, then stuck with alginate dressings, while the skin in the observation group was coated with Oak spray and alginate dressings during radiotherapy. Results The effective rate of observation group was 92% compared with 70% in the control group (χ2 =7. 190,P <0.01); the healing time and frequency of dressing change were (8.5 ±3.5) d and (4 ±1) times in the observation group, which all were lower than that of the control group (t = 29. 103,31. 368;P < 0. 01). Conclusions Oak spray united alginate dressings have a significant effect in the treatment of cervical cancer third degree radiation dermatitis with the reduction of wound heal time and dressing change times, and are worth of clinical promotion.
