Abstract:
Objective To study the influence of nursing interventionon on quality of life, anxiety and depression in adult severe trauma patients. Methods A total of 78 cases of adult patients with severe trauma were selected from May 2012 to July 2014, which were divided into the control group and the intervention group, with 39 cases each. The control group was given routine care and assisted the examination and treatment. The intervention group was given psychological care on the basis of conventional treatment and care. The anxiety and depression and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of preoperative depression and anxiety in the two groups had no significant difference (P>0. 05). After the intervention, the scores of depression and anxiety in the intervention group were (26. 94 ± 7. 18) and (21. 61 ± 4. 79), which were significantly lower than those in the control group (t =7. 024, 10. 001;P <0. 05). The score of preoperative quality of life had no significant difference (P>0. 05). After the intervention, the score of quality of life in the intervention group was (93. 61 ± 4. 71), which was significantly higher than (85. 67 ± 5. 61) in the control group (t=8. 912, P <0. 05). Conclusions The psychological nursing intervention can effectively reduce patients′anxiety and depression for adult patients with severe trauma, thereby it improves their psychological status and quality of life.
