Effect of individual nursing care interventions on calcitriol shock treatment for hemodialysis patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of individual nursing care interventions on calcitriol shock treatment for hemodialysis patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism .Methods From October 2011 to October 2013 , 60 maintenance hemodialysis patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism with iPTH above 1 000 pg/ml were randomly divided into control group ( 30 cases ) and experimental group ( 30 cases ) .The control group received routine care , and the experimental group was provided individual nursing care interventions by nurses , including individualized cognitive intervention , dietary intervention and drug guidance . The effect of nursing intervention was evaluated after 6 months.Results In the experimental group, 20 patients had a good compliance , 8 patients had a moderate compliance , 2 patients had poor compliance after the implementation, which were significantly better than those in the control group (Z=2.170,P<0.05).The pass rate of diet in the experimental group was 83.33%(25/30), which was significantly higher than 60.00%(18/30) in the control group (χ2 =4.022,P <0.05).There was no significant difference in the calcium content of the two groups but phosphorus , calcium-phosphorus product , iPTH levels were significantly lower in the experimental group (P<0.05).Conclusions The individual nursing care plays a positive role in the effect of hyperparathyroidism calcitriol shock treatment .
