Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effect between two different methods in hemostasis by compression after the radial artery puncture .Methods Six clinical studies in the domestic databases were selected according to the inclusion standards .1 017 patients used either the artery compressor or elastic bandage .The fixed effect model was used in the Meta analysis .Results In 6 clinical studies , the effect of radial artery compressor in reducing subcutaneous blood infiltration and hematoma were significant (OR=0.30, 95%CI 0.08 ~0.43,P<0.05).In 6 controlled clinical studies, the effect of radial artery compressor in reducing the rate of postoperative limbs swelling was significant (OR=0.14,95%CI 0.10~0.19,P<0.05). Conclusions Radial artery compressor has great effects in reducing postoperative complications , compared with traditional elastic bandage , especially in reducing subcutaneous blood infiltration , hematoma and prevention of postoperative limbs swelling .
