Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of group intervention on the rehabilitation of inpatients with mental disorder .Methods Fifty-three patients with mental disorder in hospital received the training of group intervention for 4 weeks .The rehabilitation effect was assessed by the scale of social function in psychosis inpatients (SSPI) and social skills training (SST).Results The patients’ social function and ability of daily living improved significantly through the training for 4 weeks. The score of SSPI descended gradually , and the score of SST increased gradually from one week after intervention .The scores of SSPI and SST were respectively (8.02 ±3.03), (69.45 ±15.13) 4 weeks after intervention, and were (8.92 ±2.53), (67.48 ±14.18) 6 months after the follow-up, and the differences were all statistically significant compared with those before intervention and 4 weeks after intervention (P<0.01).Conclusions The group intervention model combined with the conventional drug therapy can effectively improve the social function of inpatients with mental disorder , and improve daily living skills , and promote the rehabilitation , and is in line with the goals and requirements of psychiatric rehabilitation .
