Influence of the experience teaching of clinical nurses on the comfort of bedridden patient

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the influence of experience teaching used in clinical nursing on the comfort feeling of bedridden patients .Methods Totals of 46 nurses from four wards of cardiology were applied the experiential education .Totals of 228 cardiovascular patients met the inclusion criteria were recruited from February to December 2011.Totals of 115 patients, from July to December 2011, were in the intervention group, while 113 patients, from February to June 2011, were in the control group.General information questionnaire and the comfortable status scale were used .Results In the control group , the scores of each dimension of physical comfort , psychological comfort , social comfort , comfortable environment and the total score were (13.04 ±2.512), (20.27 ±5.184), (19.92 ±2.991), (18.58 ±3.017) and (71.81 ±9.570), respectively.Those scores in the intervention group were (15.76 ±2.258), (29.87 ±3.582), (23.21 ± 1.935), (20.37 ±1.903) and (89.21 ±7.283),respectively.There were significant differences between the two groups (t=8.577, 16.298, 9.872, 5.367, 15.461, respectively;P<0.05).Conclusions It is feasible and effective for the hospital to apply experience teaching .
