Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of health education path on cancer patients with PICC catheter.Methods Eighty four cases of cancer patients with PICC catheter were selected as the research objects and they were randomly divided into the control group and the intervention group with 42 cases each .The control group was given routine nursing intervention . The intervention group was given health education path intervention .The disease-related knowledge mastering situation and situation of health behavior , satisfaction were compared between groups .Results The score of health-related behavior was ( 115 .56 ±11 .40 ) in the intervention group, which was significantly higher than (101.43 ±18.50) in the control group ( P<0.05). The disease-related knowledge , treatment of confidence , nursing satisfaction , health education success rate and incidence of infection were 90.48%, 97.62%, 95.24%, 97.62% and 2.38%, respectively.Those in the control group were 30.95%, 30.95%, 73.81%, 40.48% and 26.19%, respectively.The differences between groups were statistically significant (χ2 =31.19,38.03,3.37,32.08,9.72, respectively;P<0.01). Conclusions Health education path intervention can improve the health of cancer patients with PICC catheter , and patients'satisfaction.It ensures the validity and rationality for implementing health education intervention .
