Abstract:
Objective To explore the caring behaviors of head nurses from the perspectives of the first -line clinical nurses and to provide reference for humanized nursing management .Methods Phenomenological methodology was used in the study .A depth interview was conducted on 15 nurses recruited by purposive sampling method .Results Three themes of caring behaviors were found , including the professional growth , fair and democratic management , and balance between personal and professional challenges .Conclusions The head nurses can create a supportive work environment to improve clinical nurses ’ professional growth; and can strengthen the non-power influence .They are also able to master and meet the nurses ’ reasonable needs and apply humanized nursing management .
