Abstract:
Objective To discuss the application of “Five in One” education model of nursing teaching practice ( integration of Course&Position , integration of Practice&Theory teachers , integration of Teaching&Doing, integration of Learning & Doing , and integration of Teaching & Evaluation ) in internal medicine , to cultivate students ’ abilities of clinical thinking and clinical application .Methods College nursing students from 2 classes were divided into two groups , experimental group (54 cases) and control group (52 cases).In control group, students were taught by the traditional way , while in experimental group , the students were under the“Five in One” education model .After the end of a semester , a comprehensive assessment of clinical ability in internal medicine was conducted among nursing students from both two groups , to compare the teaching effectiveness.Results For experimental group,the theory examination score was ( 84.17 ±5.12) and training assessment score was (86.98 ±3.74), higher than the control group , the difference was statistically significant (t=4.33,6.43, respectively;P<0.01).Follow-up of the experimental group 37 nursing students, 81.1%of the nursing students said “Five in One” teaching mode was helpful to improve their clinical ability to adapt . Conclusions Application of “Five in One” education model can improve the nursing students in clinical thinking ability and also clinical adaptability .
