Abstract:
Objective To develop a scale including the patients' knowledge, attitude and behavior so as to evaluate the health education level in cancer patients with peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC).Methods The item pool was formed on the basis of the literature review, and two rounds of consultation with 16 experts throughout the country were implemented by the method of Delphi. The results of consultation were evaluated by positive coefficient, concentration degree, coordination degree, and authoritative coefficient. The positive coefficient was represented by recovery rate. The concentration degree was expressed by mean, standard deviation and out ratio. The coordination degree (Kendall coefficient) was adopted by non parametric test 2.The authoritative coefficient was expressed by arithmetic mean through calculating the experts' academic level, right judgment basis, and the degree of familiarity. Results The response rate of questionnaires was 100%.The coordination coefficients of first and second round were 0.305 and 0.487,respectively.The authoritative coefficient was 0.90.At last,thirty-six items were formed to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and behavior in cancer patients with PICC,in which the part of knowledge was 19 items, the part of attitude was 9 items, and the part of behavior was 8 items. Conclusions The consulted indicators of the knowledge, attitude, behavior scales based on Delphi method in cancer patients with PICC are representative and credible, but still need to be verified through the reliability and validity.
