Abstract:
Objective To explore the situation and influential factors of the reemployment of patients with occupational hand injuries and to provide a theoretical basis for targeted intervention. Methods Totals of 1472 cases of patients with occupational had injuries from January 2010 to December 2011 were included in this study.1326 patients who finished effective investigations were divided in the reemployed group and the unreemployed group.Single factor analysis and Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze data of both groups. Results A Total of 1071 out of 1326 patients with occupational hand injuries got reemployed within 8 months, accounting for 80.77%,and the average absence time was 55 (8.0,142.5) days.Patients with different ages, mobility, educational levels, company types, occupational duties, injury types, medical payments and rehabilitation treatments had different rate of reemployment, and the differences were statistically significant (x2 =244.196,62.103,50.341,13.331,10.944,170.741,80.503,71.908,respectively; P <0.05).And there was no statistically significant difference of reemployment rate between patients with different genders and marriage status (P > 0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that age, mobility, education level, injury type, medical payment and rehabilitation treatment were the most influencing factors to their reemployment (P <0.01).Conclusions The reemployment status of patients with occupational hand injuries is not good, and there are many influencing factors. It is suggested that social support should be strengthened, and extended nursing should be implemented according to their rehabilitation demands,so as to promote their reemployment.
