Abstract:
Objective investigate the current situation of navy pilots' sleep quality, and observe the effect of non-pharmaceutical intervention on improving their sleep quality. Methods 211 navy pilots were included in this study and provided with health education for 2 weeks.PSQI was used to investigate and compare their sleep quality before and after the intervention. Results The results of PSQI showed that insomnia rate of bomber pilots was the highest (19.05%),and the second was the transporter (15%),and the next was the helicopter (3.64%).But there was no statistically significant difference of insomnia rate among different types of pilots (P > 0.05).After two weeks of intervention, score of objective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, sleep efficiency, hypnotic agents, and total score of PSQI declined respectively from (1.42 ± 1.00),(0.91 ±0.92),(1.67±0.65),(0.24 ±0.58),(0.13±0.52) and (5.17±2.48) to (0.96 ±0.64),(0.25 ± 0.62),(0.20 ± 0.63),0,0 and (4.24 ± 2.98),and the differences were statistically significant (t =5.511,8.468,23.231,5.837,3.526,3.442,respectively; P < 0.01).Conclusions Sleep quality of navy pilots was relatively favorable, whichcan also be improved by health educationobviously.
