Bibliometric analysis of papers on children' s health education from 1993 to 2012 in China

Abstract:
Objective To analyze papers on children's health education in CBM database,and understand the development of children' s health education in China.Methods Computer aided bibliometric analytical method,results function of database and Excel software were used to count and analyze the number,author,key words,fund and periodical distribution of papers on children' s health education.Results There were 1283 papers on children' s health education in CBM database,with the coauthor rate of 62.67% and cooperation degree of 2.57.Author group with most papers came from Guangdong Province.The hotspot of health education was asthma,hand-foot-and-mouth disease,hydremic nephritis and etc.Papers covered 45 funds of all kinds,and were published in 294 kinds of journals,including 28 nursing journals accounting for 9.52%.Magazine of Chinese Health Education issued the most relevant papers.Conclusions Papers on children' s health education show an ascendant trend,and this discipline is in its development period despite low scientific research ability and shallow study.
