Intervention effect of supportive psychological guidance with emotive therapy to reduce emergency nurses' negative emotions

Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of supportive psychological guidance with emotive therapy to reduce emergency nurses' negative emotions.Methods A total of 42 emergency nurses were randonly divided into the observation group and the control group,each with 21 cases.The control group received conventional supportive psychological guidance,while the observation group received emotive therapy in addition.SAS,SDS and PSQI were used to evaluate two groups' negative emotions.Results Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant difference between two groups on SAS,SDS and PSQI scores (P > 0.05).After the intervention,SAS,SDS and PSQI score was respectively (35.7 ± 5.3),(35.7 ± 5.9),(4.7 ± 1.1) in the observation group,and (40.4 ± 5.8),(40.4 ± 5.8),(7.4 ± 1.4) in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (t =-2.603,-2.804,-6.949,respectively; P < 0.05).Conclusions Supportive psychological guidance with emotive therapy can help relieve emergency nurses' anxiety and depression and improve their sleep quality,thus worthy of clinical application.
