Abstract:
Objective To discuss the nursing of insulin pump therapy to control blood glucose after coronary artery bypass surgery in elderly diabetic patients.Methods Totals of 153 patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery between March 2010 and March 2012 were divided into observation group (n =77) and control group (n =76) randomly.Insulin was given by micro-pump intravenous in observation group and insulin was given subcutaneous injection in control group,respectively.Materials pre-,intra-and post-operation were analyzed.Results There was no statistical difference of pre-and intra-operation between the two groups.The incidence of hypoglycemia and wound infection in insulin pump group was significantly lower than that of control group (1 vs 7,Z =-2.1975,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Active peri-operative care and correct application of insulin micro pump are advantageous for postoperative blood glucose control and postoperative recovery.
