Abstract:
Objective To investigate the methods of instruments management in Newborn department.Methods " Primary nursing concept" was applied in the instrument management work.All instruments belonging to Newborn department were classified,and relevant person in charge was appointed.They were responsible for instruments cleaning,overhaul,borrowing and supervising to make sure the maximize rational use of all instruments and properly maintained.So everyone in the department participated in the instruments management.Results After implementation of responsibility nursing,perfectness rate of the instruments was significantly increased from 82.55％ to 91.91％ (x2 =9.247,P ＜ 0.05).The nurse operation acceptance rate was significantly improved from 53.13％ to 81.25％ (x2 =5.741,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Application of "primary nursing concept" in Newborn department instruments management has important implications for rational use and maintenance of instruments.
