Abstract:
Respiratory viral infections are the main risk factors for the occurrence and development of bronchial asthma. However, the antiviral immune response in the airways of asthmatic patients is impaired, which could lead to aggravated viral infections and acute asthma exacerbations.Restoring the antiviral immune response is crucial for improving asthma control. This article describes the key contributions of viral infections to the development of bronchial asthma, the mechanisms of antiviral immune impairment in asthmatic patients, and the future prospects and potential approaches for restoring antiviral immunity response,to provide theoretical justification for the improvement of asthma control and the search for new therapeutic targets.
