Effect of hydroacfive foam dressing on postoperative wound of Nd:YAG laser therapy

Abstract: Objective To study the therapeutic effect of foam dressing on Nd∶YAG laser postoperative wound.Methods 40 patients with nevi of Ota on face and neck involved in this study were randomly assigned to observational and control group,20 patients in each group,respectively.20 patients in obserational group were treated with foam dressing while the other 20 patients in control group were treated with traditional dry method.The healing effect after Nd:YAG laser treatment was compared.Results Foam dressing group had a shorter healing time (4.8 ± 1.2) d than traditional method group (9.6 ± 1.4) d,there was statistical difference (t =11.8,P ＜ 0.01).Patients in observation group were more satisfied with foam dressing [ (8.3 ± 1.1) vs (5.6 ±0.8) ],there was statistical difference (x2=8.6,P ＜ 0.01).There were no significance differences in scar and pigmentation rate (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Foam dressing are superior to traditional method on the treatment of Nd ∶ YAG Laser postoperative wound.
