Effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the knowledge and life quality of patients with inflammatory bowel disease

Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the knowledge and life quality of patients with inflammatory bowel disease.Methods A total of 60 cases with inflammatory bowel disease were randomly divided into two groups,the control group ( n =30) were treated with conventional ways,while the intervention group (n =30 ) were treated with comprehensive nursing intervention.All patients received questionnaire survey and were required to fill in inflammatory bowel disease questionnaire three months before and after intervention.Results Compared with baseline,3 months after the intervention,intervention group patients' knowledge scores,quality of life score were significantly elevated,and the differences were statistically significant (t =-7.377,-9.678; P ＜ 0.05 ).Quality of life score and knowledge scores in intervention group were respectively higher than those in control group ( 144.83 ±31.50 vs 118.13 ±28.44,11.13 ±3.33 vs 7.43 ± 3.24,respectively),and the differences were statistically significant( P ＜0.05).The inflammatory bowel disease relapse ratio in intervention group (30.0％) was lower than that in control group (63.3％),and the difference was statistically significant ( x2 =6.696,P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Comprehensive nursing intervention can improve knowledge and life quality of patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
