Nursing and prevention of low temperature during perioperative period in one case with severe metastatic cancer

Abstract: One female patients with severe metastatic cancer was performed the operation of "exploratory laparotomy,primary cytoreductive surgery,partial hepatectomy,splenectomy,diaphragmatic muscle tumor resection" under the general anesthesia,and the operation time was more than 12 h.The low temperature occured due to tissue adhesion,the long operation time,massive bleeding,large area and long time exposure to internal organs and body,large infusion and application anesthetic etc.Many intervention measures were used such as preoperative warm,increasing the environmental temperature,covering for keeping warm,heating the intravenous fluids and a body cavity rinses during operation.The patients' temperature was kept in 36.8°C,and no low temperature happened.
