Abstract:
Objective To study the status of professional abilities of ICU specialist nurses and its influencing factors.Methods The questionnaire of professional abilities of ICU specialist nurses and general self-efficacy scale (GSES) were used to investigate 202 ICU specialist nurses in 8 Grade A hospitals in Beijing.Results ICU specialist nurses had a good level of professional abilities and the average score was ( 3.79 ±0.44) with the highest score in the critical patients' emergence treatment and care ability (4.18 ±0.35) and the lowest score of the professional development ability( 3.40 ± 0.62 ).General self-efficacy,professional title and working tenure were the influencing factors for their professional abilities.Conclusions The level of professional abilities of ICU specialist nurses is good,and it is necessary to manage and cultivate ICU specialist nurses according to their different character and to improve their professional abilities.
