Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of whole process nursing in patients with schizophrenia treated by modified electroconvulsive therapy(MECT).Methods Totals of 312 patients with schizophrenia treated by MECT received whole process nursing.Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA) and degree of satisfaction were used to evaluate the effect of whole process nursing.Results All patients successfully completed MECT therapy.The HAMA score of them was( 20.65 ± 4.14) before treatment and (9.94 ± 3.23 ) after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant ( t =35.309,P < 0.01 ).After therapy,patients' degree of satisfaction was increased to 93.3%.Conclusions The whole process nursing is an effective way to increase the compliance of patients with schizophrenia treated by MECT,which can reduce patients' anxiety and improve their satisfaction.
