Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects and nursing of biventricular resynchronization therapy on the treatment for patients with congestive heart failure. Methods NYHA grade of heart function,ORS duration of electrocardiogram, left ventricular ejection fraction ( LVEF),exercise tolerance of walking distance in 6 min were compared among 63 patients with congestive heart failure before and after they received biventricular resynchronization therapy. And the nursing measures for patients were summarized. Results Six months later after patients received such therapy,NYHA grade from (3.40 ± 0.50) that of preoperation improved to(2.30 ±0.60),ORS duration from preoperation( 144.68 ± 16.40) ms reduced to( 100.02 ± 14.76 ) ms,LVEF( % ) from (33.18 ±5.60 )increased to(41.08 ±7.45),walking distance in 6 min from(305.40 ±30.30)m improved to (406.20 ± 70.50) m,differences were statistically significant ( t =11.18,4.562,6.728,10.426; P < 0.01 ).There was no patient died during 3 months - 24 months postoperation follow up.Conclusions Biventricular resynchronization therapy is one of effective treatments for patients with congestive heart failure, which can obviously improve heart function and life quality of patients. At the same time,it is important to ensure psychology nursing before operation, electrocardingraphy during operation, observation after operation, complication prevention, follow up and so on to be done very well.
