Abstract:
Objective To understand the cognitive status of nursing staff on mechanical ventilation in patients with normal saline drip airway humidity,so as to provide theoretical basis and reference for related studies. Methods 152 nursing staff from 6 class-A grade three comprehensive hospitals in Beijing were investigated by a self-designed questionnaire, using convenience sampling method. Results The cognitive degree of the nursing staff on the knowledge of normal saline drip airway humidity was relatively low; only 27.63% nurses know the classification of cases of sputum viscosity. The approval rating of the operation of normal saline drip airway humidity was relativdy high and 77.63% staff understand the normal saline drip airway humidity; the cognition of the nursing staff with different age, education, work experience and professional title has significant differences (x2 =33.33,8.55 ;P < 0.05).Whether base the doctor's orders to perform operations, whether the operation was written into the contents of nursing records, whether have appropriate operating standards, education level and title were different between the two groups (P < 0.05 ).Conclusions The approval rating of the operation of normal saline drip airway humidity was relatively high among nursing staff, but relevant knowledge of airway humidity was lack; relevant standards of airway management is insufficient; self-protection awareness of the nursing staff should be strengthened.
