Effect of perioperative nursing intervention on premature with esophageal atresia

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of perioperative nursing intervention on 30 cases premature with esophageal atresia.Methods 60 cases of premature children with congenital esophageal atresia treated in our hospital neonatal unit (NICU) from June 2008 to June 2010, were randomly divided into intervention group and control group with 30 cases in each group.The control group received routine postoperative care, the intervention group on this basis, were given perioperative nursing intervention.Results Complication rate of the intervention group and control group was statistically significant difference (23.3% vs 60.0%, x2 =8.30,P ＜0.01); Hospital zation was statistically significant difference[(37.0 ± 7.2)d vs (55.2 ± 14.2)d, t =8.92,P ＜0.01] between the two groups; Weight change and patient satisfation were statistically significant difference(P ＜0.05).Conclusions Premature with esophageal atresia received perioperative nursing intervention can guarantee results of operations, reduce complications, decrease mortality, promoting rehabilitation, worthy of clinical application.
