Survey and analysis on the blood donation reaction for 1529 brain workers

Abstract: Objective To decrease the reaction of blood donation, to keep the donors physiological and psychological health, and to keep the continuous and healthy development of voluntary blood donation.Methods 1529 brain workers with blood donation reaction were analyzed retrospectively in Yuncheng, Shan Xi Province. Results The rate of blood donation reaction in brain workers was 3.5%, there was statistically significant difference compared with other groups( x2 =5. 53 ,P ＜0. 05 ). there were some induce factors for the result, the most important one was mental factor, it occupied about 65.0% ,and it was followed by physiological factor, about 27.0%, the third one was environmental factor, it was about 8.0%. Conclusions The rate of blood donation reaction in brain workers is higher than that in non-brain workers. Adopting the targeted nursing actions will effectively decrease the rate of blood donation reaction.
