Application of reformed pillow in neurosurgical nursing care

Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of reformed pillow in neurosurgical nursing care.Methods The reformed pillow was applied in neurosurgical patients. We investigated its role of improving patients'comfort and satisfaction, and maintaining their functional position by using test score method. Results With the reformed pillow used, patients' comfort and psychological function were markedly improved and their functional positions were maintained (χ2 = 71. 307,54. 362; P < 0. 01 ). Conclusions The reformed pillow could improve patients' comfort, satisfy their subjective mental feeling and effectively maintain their functional position.
