Abstract:
Objective To control blood pressure of patients with hypertension grade Ⅰ and to improve life quality by implementing dietary approaches to stop hypertension (DASH) model on them. Methods 33 patients were divided into medication group and control group. In terms of patients' height, weight and daily activities, personal daily menus were designed according to the DASH principle without changing their life styles. BP was recorded before and 6 months after the intervention and compared between the two groups. Results All the 33 patients had significantly lower BP 6 month after the intervention (P < 0. 05). There was no difference of BP between medication group and control group before and 6 months after the intervention(P >0. 05). Conclusions DASH model can reduce BP effectively. BP can be controlled by daily diet regulating in patients with mild hypertension.
