Abstract:
Objective To investigate the regularity of hypoglycemia occurrence in the obese patients with type 2 diabetes accepting the insulin pump intensive therapy by applying the continuous glucose monitors. Methods The blood sugar levels of the 573 new-onset obese inpatients with type 2 diabetes were the stable one week after accepting the insulin intensive therapy were studied by applying continuous glucose monitors. The data were collected and analyzed to probe the regularity of hypoglycemia occurrence. Results The average blood sugar level was negatively correlated with the incidence rate of symptomless hypoglycemia and nocturnal hypoglycemia respectively. The 4 hour postprandial blood sugar level was positively correlated with the average blood sugar level and negatively correlated to the incidence rate of nocturnal hypoglycemia. The incidence rate of nocturnal hypoglycemia exceeded 50 percent when the 4 hour postprandial blood sugar was under 4.5 mmol/L. Conclusions The research of regularity of hypoglycemia occurrence in the obese patients of type 2 diabetes accepting the insulin intensive therapy may provide the reference of common time of hypoglycemia occurrence in the patients accepting the intensive therapy. The study can provide good instructions for the clinical treatment and nursing care and had great clinical significance and societal economic benefits.
