Abstract:
Objective To observe the effects of touch on premature growth. Methods 60 prematures were randomly divided into two groups, touch and control group, 30 cases per group. Routine care was given in two groups, additional touch care, 15 minutes every time and twice one day, was carried out in touch group for no less than 6 months. To follow up until half a year after discharge and record growth indexes of premature.Results The growths of body weight, body length and head circumference of touch group in 42 days,4 months, 6 months were larger than those of control group ( P ＜ 0. 05 ). Conclusions Touch care can promote premature growth.
