Abstract:
Objective To study the cognitive-behavior nursing intervention on negative sentiment and coping style in depression patients. Methods Forty-six depression patients were randomly divided into intervention group (n =23) and control group (n =23). Both group received antidepressant drugs,anti-anxiety drugs and conventional care. Other than this, intervention group received cognitive-behavior nursing intervention. All the patients were assessed with Zung's Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) ,Zung's Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Coping Style Questionnaire (CSQ) before and after the intervention. Results Before intervention GSQ cares of the two groups were not significantly different (P>0.05) ;The scores of SDS and SAS in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group(t =4. 22,3. 98,P <0. 01). The scores of problem-solving and asking for help in the CSQ increased significantly and scores of self-blame and avoidance decreased in the intervention group as compared to the control group (t = 3. 39, P < 0. 05; t = 5. 38, P < 0. 01). But the scores of fancy and rationalization were of no significant difference between the two groups (t =0. 08,2.39,P >0. 05). Conclusions The cognitive-behavior nursing intervention has a significant impact on the improvement of negative sentiment and coping style in depression patients thus benefits their rehabilitation.
