Effect of the promotion of premature infants' growth applied water bed pattern with bird's nest nursing

Abstract:
Objective To study the promotion of premature infants' growth who received water bed pattern with bird's nest nursing with the aim of doing some help to the premature infants' clinical nursing.Methods 80 premature infants whose embryonic age were 31 to 34 weeks without serious complications after birth and the score of Apgar≥8 at birth were selected and all the cases were divided into experimental group(40cases) and control group(40 cases)at random. The infants of control group were put into incubator in naked,and they received the traditional nursing. The experimental group was given the water bed pattern with bird's nest nursing. The amount of formula sucked by infants themselves, the weight gain and the length of hospital stay were compared, then analyzed the nursing effect. Results There were significant differences between the two groups on the amount of formula and the weight gain at the 7 th and 14 th days( P ＜0. 05 ). The length of hospital stays were (15.1 ±0.9) d and( 19.2 ± 1.8 ) d, and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0. 05). Conclusions Water bed pattern with bird's nest nursing can obviously increase the amount of formula sucked by premature infants themselves and improve the weight gain. And it is helpful to accelerate the premature to return to normal and to shorten the hospital stay. The water bed pattern with bird's nest nursing has great clinical meanings for the promotion of premature infants' growth and improvement of the life quality.
