Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of cognitive behavior therapy (progressive relaxation training combined stimulus control therapy) on improveing sleep quality of the breast cancer patients. Methods Adopting a randomized control study, 56 cases of patients with breast cancer chemotherapy were randomly divided into intervention group 28 cases and control group 28 cases. Control group received routine care of postoperative chemotherapy in breast cancer patients; on this basis, the intervention group received 18-weeks cognitive behavioral therapy. Before and after the intervention, the two groups were assessed by respectively using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) questionnaire. Results Bofore the intervention, PSQI total scores and each scoreof two groups wore no stutistically significcmt ( P > 0. 05 ); After the intervention, PSQI total score, sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disturbance, sleep medication, daytime dysfunction points of intervention group were lower than the control group. There were significant differences (P < 0. 01 ).Conclusions Cognitiue behavior therapy can improve mental health of breast cancer patients' chemotherapy,and improve the quality of their sleep.
