Abstract:
Objective To investigate the cognition level of clinical nurses towards specialty nurses and to provide evidence for both the development of specialty nursing and the training of specialty nurse. Methods 650 clinical nurses in four hospitals in Suzhou were investigated by self-designed questionnaire. Results Clinical nurses lacked the related information of specialty nurses. 92.2% subjects advocated the establishment of the post of specialty nurse and 30.6% were willing to participate the training of specialty nurse, however, obstacles were existed because of many reasons such as limited seats and hard workload. Conclusions It was important to strength the training of specialty nurses, establish and develop the culture and management system about specialty nurses as soon as possible.
